ANA Domestic Flight Discounts

Topics: Domestic Flights, Travel

The domestic airlines offer Hayawari or Chowari flights. These are usually offered in periods of two weeks, and you have to book during a period of about two weeks and two months in advance to the time you want to fly. For example, you must reserve and pay for tickets for November flights during September, etc.

The Chowari or Hayawari fares are very reasonable, but demand for them is very high. You usually have to call the company directly to reserve them, or get online and do it. I don't know about now, but when I tried this two years ago, the phones were so busy I couldn't get through, and the Internet web site crashed.

The weekend or more desirable chowari/hawayari fares sell out VERY quickly (almost within a few hours of the start of sales). If you are flying off-peak or on a weekday, you could probably get a fare, but if you are aiming for a weekend fare, you'd better be prepared to start dialing the MINUTE sales open!

Click on the box with info about chowari and you will see scheduled dates for purchase with the rules, etc. There is also lots of other helpful info on the site.
