Buy the clothes in New Year's and summer sales. You can save up to 70%. I always buy clothes in the next year's size for my daughter. The size changes so fast for toddlers.

I rarely buy kid's clothes. I belong to a playgroup that I get lots of hand-me-downs from. My shopping consists of going to one of my plastic drawers that I have labelled with season and size and getting something "new" out of there.
