Combine Heating AppliancesTopics: Heating, Staying Warm I use a combination of a "halogen heater" for spot heating (it looks like a revolving fan with a heat lamp), a kotatsu (table with heat lamp under it), hot blanket for the bed, and two A/C unit heaters. This works pretty well for us. Hokkaido kerosene heaters usually have exhaust pipes that whisk the nasty fumes outside, but Kanto kerosene heaters often have no such device.
