Comic CafeTopics: Accommodations, Comics, Internet Looking for a cheap place to stay when in the city overnight? Consider the comic cafe (manga kissa) option. I personally really enjoy visiting manga kissa when I am on the run in Japan; they are a great combination of Internet cafe, comic book library, and coffee house (unlimited free drinks!). Increasingly, manga kissa are also a kind of rental space - my local manga kissa features comfy reclining chairs in private cubicles, Sony Play Station/DVD players, TVs, and computers. They offer a "night pack" from 12pm to 6am for Y1500 (enough to make the first train the next morning), an even offer slippers and eye masks. While not totally comfortable, the chain stores (usually found near major train stations) can do in a pinch. An interesting option to explore.
