FBC Express

Topics: Mail Forwarding, Postage, Shipping

Have trouble getting things shipped from the U.S. to Japan? Here's a service that Foreign Buyers Club e-mailed about nine months ago., which I rediscovered this while "housekeeping" old e-mails. I haven't yet used it, but I tried the link just now and it still connects.

This could be very useful when an online vendor does not ship internationally. And when you ask a friend or relative to get and send something to you, this could help reduce their costs. They can ship to FBC's California warehouse and FBC then air mails it to you. Plus, since FBC uses air mail, you could get speedier delivery than less-expensive rates (i.e., overland and sea shipping).

I haven't tried the FBC Express service, but if you go to the website, the $10 fee applies ONLY to a few items selected by FBC.

They will ship anything to Japan that you have shipped to them in California, but for $15 handling fee, and then you are charged the shipping by weight. The first pound is $22.27, a two-pound package is $23.53, all the way up to the limit of 55 pounds for $90.86.
