Make Your Own Sports DrinksTopics: Beverages, Recipes, Sports Drinks I was once told by a doctor while traveling that we needn't buy fancy rehydration packets at the drugstore. This doctor suggested a mix of salt and sugar with water (more sugar than salt and it takes a little practice to get a mix you like). So I tried it. When I got back from holidays I added a little Kool Aid (or Freshie or Tang or whatever drink packet) to add a little flavor. I've used this as a sports drink. Sorry I don't have measurements, I make it by trial and error. It should bring your sports drink budget down to "just pennies a glass". And Kool Aid packets are light and easy to have sent from overseas or to carry over in your suitcase. RI << Make Your Own Iced Coffee | Index | MAP International >> |
