Mugi-cha Tea Bags

Topics: Beverages, Tea

You can buy mugi-cha (barley tea) tea bags at the supermarket. They are in a long rectangular packet. Despite the fact that most Japanese people make theirs with boiling water you don't have to. I just put a teabag in a jug, add tap water, and put it in the fridge. One teabag makes about two liters. Tea made with proper grains and boiled up does taste better but it is fairly time consuming. You can buy bags of the grains from the tea section as well.
