Not-So-Chic SalonsTopics: Hair, Hair Salons There are some hairdressers with less "chic" salons who cut your hair for half the price bigger salons do. The hairdresser near my apartment does not speak much English, but she cuts, shampoos, and dries my hair for 3,000 yen plus tax. There are also some cheaper salons in Tokyo, but they may not wash your hair (1,000 or 2,000 yen, but don't expect ANY English). Such places are usually crowded and you have to queue.
