Rainy Season LaundryDuring the rainy season, clothes take forever to dry and often end up a bit stinky. Instead of buying special detergent designed to prevent rainy-season odors, I add about half a cup each of baking soda and vinegar to the last laundry cycle. This also softens the clothes. Drying them indoors makes the house humid and moldy so I hang them in the bathroom with the bathroom fan on and a standing fan aimed on them, with the bathroom door closed. AN The rainy season is approaching. To keep laundry fresh, add baking soda to the wash cycle and vinegar to the rinse. If you have to hang the laundry inside to dry, and the next day is nice, spritz/spray the laundry with water, then hang it outside. It doesn't smell as good as if it was hung out to dry the first time, but it does smell fresher. KA << Rain Boots | Index | Read Magazines at the Library, but Comics? >> |
