Send Packages Overseas by SALThe post office here does not always give you advice regarding the cheapest ways of sending parcels/cards abroad. My Postal Guide (available in English) became my bible when I managed to pick one up in my local PO a few years ago. I now send most parcels abroad by SAL (Surface Air Lift),which is cheaper than ordinary Airmail, but takes a little longer.
