Sleep at the Airport

Topics: Accommodations, Airports, Travel
Places: Narita

If all else fails, you could try sleeping at the airport (see http://www.sleepinginairports.net). Apparently the security guards at Narita round up all the leftover people at a certain time and bring them into a room where they can keep an eye on them. They ask for your details and they ask to see your ticket and then they lock you in until morning. Not the most comfortable night's sleep, but maybe the cheapest.
