Tea and Coffee in Re-used PET Bottles

Topics: Beverages, Coffee, Tea

My husband does the hot tea/coffee thing every morning. We have ice coffee/tea in reused PET bottles in the refrigerator. He warms up the exact amount for the small thermos we have in a little spouted, 100 yen shop pot we have, puts it in the Thermos, and then transfers it to his backpack. He has a backpack with a special pocket for the Thermos, and drinks out of that cup.

The easiest way to do this is: prepare the thermos yourself in the morning for him, and wash it in the evenings. It's habit now, and probably saves us quite a bit of money. Another idea: buying "baggie coffee" (drip coffee in individual packages) in individual cup sizes. The hot water pots at most offices can be used for this. The price (30 to 50 yen/bag) is still cheaper than a 100 yen can of coffee.

Check out http://www.brookes.co.jp for some good coffee.
